After a successful first appearance at Gardening Scotland 2002 Stone Wood Water Light has since gone on to work for 3 years with BBC's The Beechgrove Garden as guest designers for community garden projects such as The Scottish mining museum in Newtongrange, an educational garden for Breadalbane Academy / Aberfeldy and an environmental / outdoor art space for St Ronan's Well in Innerleithen.

After many more successful years putting together private garden projects predominately around  Edinburgh (as well as across Scotland) Stone Wood Water Light is enjoying bringing together newly aquired postgraduate qualifications in environmental decision making with a maturing naturalised approach and style. This combination has recently caught the eye of national sunday newspapers who have run numerous articles over recent years on a wide range of projects.

2012 starts with works beginning on a garden designed to be as ecological and sustainable as possible to compliment both the modern larch clad self eco self build and the surrounding natural habitat of the Water of Leith Dell.
In 1998 we started out as dugdigs Landscapes - New from Old . This ethos for recycle and re-use has therefore been in place from day one and been at the forefront through out. It is only recently however (13 years later) that a joined up and coherent concept of ' New from Old ' is beginning to emerge...........see the Blog DugDigs to see how its going.
